My name is Steve and I am raising funds for my mother, Stella Ponnus (60 years old) is suffering from a blood clot in her brain and is currently on ventilator support at Asian Institute.
As this disease has left her unconscious, she is completely bedridden and can hardly move her body. My mother has always been a simple and cheerful woman. But, ever since the beginning of this year she has been quite ill and weak and now suffering from blood clotting in the brain. Her history of diabetes is adding to her misery.
We as a family can only pray for her tremendous pain to go away, and provide aid her with medical help. I and my brother are my parent’s only emotional and financial support, while my dad is a retired person, he receives a minimal amount of monthly pension.
As days pass by it is becoming difficult for my family to bear the cost of living and medical expenses. So far, we have managed to spend 18 lakhs with help of savings and by borrowing funds but I am not sure, how far we can go, living under such high-cost circumstances.
I cannot fathom but admire my mother for showing great strength during these tough times. But I am afraid that if we fail to arrange the funds, I will lose my mother to this terrible disease. My family will be shattered big time with no scope for further hope in our lives.
Now my hands are tied as there is no place left for me to ask for help. This crowdsourcing is the last hope.
